Larry R. McCauley - President
“I start with the premise that the function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers.”  Ralph Nader
A true leader knows when roles and responsibilities are clear, leadership at different levels throughout an organization can result in tasks being completed more efficiently, with less burden, and without the need for micromanagement.
  1. Motivate yourself first.
  2. Get to know those you seek to motivate.
  3. Show appreciation for individual efforts and contributions.
  4. Be a coach helping others to highlight strong suits and overcome growth areas.
  5. Be transparent and generous with information.
  6. Balance advocacy of your vision with inquiry into the interests of others.
  7. Be receptive to upward feedback.
  8. Seek to inspire (transformational leadership) not just to lead (transactional leadership).
  9. People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.
  10. People form habits and habits form futures.
  11. Absorb information…READERS ARE LEADERS
  12. You can’t teach what you don’t know…you can’t lead where you don’t go.
  13. SUCCESS – Never an accident, it is the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction and skillful execution.
  14. Practice does not make perfect, (perfect practice) makes perfect.
In order to be something you’ve never been, you have to do something you’ve never done.
