President's Welcome Message
It is with a humble spirit that I welcome you to the Defense Logistics Agency’s Chapter of Blacks In Government’s website. With all the changes going on in society today it is our distinct pleasure to be an advocate for our employees, coworkers, friends and family, to affect change in the workplace and our community. Please join me in making this new Chapter of Blacks In Government successful by volunteering your gifts, talents, and donations, to help someone else succeed. We will be starting a scholarship program to benefit students by helping them reach their goals of becoming college graduates. The DLA Chapter of BIG is a 501c3/Non-Profit organization, so partner with us in giving back, as a way to honor all those champions who paved the way for us to have a voice in constituting change and helping the youth of our society make a path for themselves. If you have a company or know of a company that is interested in becoming a Corporate Sponsor that is willing to share BIG’s goals, vision, and objectives, we gladly open our doors to your support, and we thank you for helping us to maintain “Our Voice, Our Legacy, and Our Future. It is going to take every person under the sound of my voice to take on the challenge and purpose of this enormous and great organization.
The question that most people have, is Blacks In Government only for blacks? Allow me to answer that for you, (No), Blacks In Government is for all nationalities, federal, state and local governments, retirees, students, military, and contractor personnel.
